Peanut butter banana smoothie
We made this peanut butter banana smoothie recipe the other day and it was delicious. The kids especially loved that I topped them with whipped cream for an extra special treat. They felt very “adult” like drinking such “fancy”smoothies.
As you know, our family has been on quite a smoothie fix lately. We are loving them! If you love this, you might also like our Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt Recipe.

Let’s make thispeanut butter and banana smoothie!
Peanut butter banana smoothie ingredients:
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup ice
- 2 cups milk (can use almond milk and can also substitute ½ cup of Greek yogurt for some of the milk)
- ½ cup peanut butter
How to make peanut butter banana smoothies:
Break banana into large pieces.
Place all ingredients in your blender.
Blend 1-2 minutes until smooth.
Serve with whipped cream on top (optional)
Banana peanut butter greek Yogurt smoothie idea:
Now I like to sneak in greek yogurt in my kids for extra protein. You can easily swap out ½ to 1 cup of milk for ½ to 1 cup of greek yogurt.
That way you will have extra protein in your new banana peanut butter greek yogurt mixture.
Peanut butter banana almond milk smoothie idea:
Now you can also make this dairy free by swapping out the milk for almond milk. I also have done this and it is very good.
I get almond milk on sale all the time and stock up when I do. I can make the slightly healthier switch and my kids don’t even notice.
This is a great idea to make the peanut butter banana drink dairy free and so tasty. Another tip for smoothies is to use frozen bananas.
This is a great way to use overripe bananas and put them to use before they spoil. Just cut them or break into pieces for the freezer.
These will be great to use later to make a peanut butter smoothie. Yum! You can also add flax seeds, chia seeds or even protein powder to the smoothies.
The kids won’t notice as these are so thick and creamy and delicious! We have even substituted almond butter before. So good!
The options are endless for these smoothies.
Now you know how to make peanut butter banana smoothie!
Now that we have talked all about these different peanut butter banana smoothie recipes, make sure you invest in a good blender.
I have a Vitamix and I love it. It is old and is still going on strong. It is quite the investment to get one, but it is one investment that won’t disappoint. It will be the last blender you ever had to buy. Amazon has several of them on sale right now for a great price.
Now if a Vitamix isn’t in your budget, then I recommend a Waring professional blender. They are going to get the job done. Now they are not as great as a Vitamix, but they are the next best for a much more reasonable cost. Amazon has several Waring blenders on sale right now.
Either way, I know you will be able to enjoy delicious and smooth fruitsmoothie with any oneof these blenders.
Freezer idea: You can also freeze these in individual cups. Then when you are ready to eat, just let them sit on the counter for a few minutes. Then serve with a spoon. You will have more of an “ice cream” treat.
This is a very easy treat for the kids and much healthier than ice cream. I hope your family enjoys it too. I think they will love these smoothies!
We love having these in the freezer for quick treats to grab and go. This is also great for weekday breakfast ideas when you are in a hurry.
I am all about making life easier and quick grab and go meals like this in the freezer help to take the stress out of meal time. These are perfect for traveling and you can just grab a smoothie out of the freezer.
